Class description and objective:
Acquire the ability to express feelings, opinions, and hypotheses using subjunctive and conditional constructions. Finally help students appreciate short literary pieces and thus encourage their continued study of Spanish and strengthen the students’ reading skills by introducing them to the prose of recognized Spanish authors. This course will focus on increasing your ability to communicate in Spanish and increase your knowledge of Hispanic culture. It emphasizes the use of Spanish for active communication it will encompass audio/oral skills, reading comprehension, grammar, and writing. The objective for the student is to participate in progressively more challenging conversations and communicate successfully in basic survival situations. Also acquire skills in narrating past, present, and future events, with particular emphasis on the ability to use the preterit, imperfect, and compound past tenses.
You are expected to speak only in Spanish; failure to do so may result in a lower participation grade.
